Commemoration events 2019 – Memory walk

An innovation of this year’s events was the Memory Walk. A symbolic march started from the Holocaust Memorial, in the Medieval City of Rhodes, and ended at the port, where the Jews of Rhodes and Kos had begun their journey without return 75 years ago. A memorial service was held in the harbor area and a wreath of flowers was thrown at the sea honoring the memory of the victims.
